Brad Riddell of New Zealand takes on Australian muaythai legend John Wayne Parr headlining Friday fights on March 4, 2016 on the Gold Coast.
Parr and Riddell will square the differences following their 2013 encounter in Melbourne. Back then New Zealander took a challenge on a week notice, replacing Brazilian Cosmo Alexandre. Five-rounder went on distance with Parr earning the judges decision. The rules of the up-coming bout on Friday 4th March 2016 remain the same. Five by three-minute rounds of Muay Thai action where knees to the head and thai-elbow strikes are in use. Two exceptions are that the fighters will wear 4 oz MMA gloves, battling in the Octagon. This what Caged Muay Thai is about.
Caged Muay Thai 8 will also see another rematch with infamous ‘Noodles’ Emiliano Rivera facing Tim Hartmann. Over 200 kilograms will be in the cage when two super-heavyweights step in to find out who is the baddest man. They fought last month in Brisbane, where Hartmann took the win in a ‘very exciting 3 rounder’.
Eleven-fight bill will also see Australia’s popular Michael Badato fighting Jason Scerri, and Stephanie Glew taking on Jorina Baars from Netherlands. Complete fight card is presented below.
