International kickboxing super-heavyweight clash Tzoros vs Kwasniewski headlines The Battle 16 by WKN on Sunday 17th April in Athens, Greece.

The Battle 16 by WKN is the following edition of the eminent Greek sports gala promoted in the birthplace of Olympic Games by Stefanos Konstantinidis. Spectacular events are well-known for showcasing a high-class of international kickboxing when local stars taking on world elite. The likes of renowned Marianna Kalergi and Alexey Ignashov have demonstrated their skills inside the boxing ring, challenging prestegious WKN belts.

An anticipated show this Sunday is a collaboration made in WKN Greece and ONE2 Promotion. The main event will see Greece’s best heavyweight Antonis Tzoros facing all–arounder Wieslaw Kwasniewski from Poland. The hard-hitters will challenge the WKN international belt.

Tzoros is an internationally recognized fighter. Among everything he fought Australian Steve McKinnon in Melbourne at 2010 ‘Last Man Standing’ tourney. In 2015 he took on K-1 star from Belarus Alexey Ignashov and battled Belgium’s giant Omar Bellahmar.

Kwasniewski is fighting under the patronage of Cezary Podraza, who is the first kickboxing world champion in the history of WKN. To date Kwasniewski widely experienced kickboxing, boxing and MMA. Among everything he is a semi-finalist of Eurosport-televised ‘Bigger’s Better 21’ event in Bulgaria, as well as a competitor at ‘SuperKombat’ shows.

The Battle 16 by WKN will also see two national title bouts when Nikos Bistolas takes on Kelanthis Kyriakou in the super-welterweight division, and Mohammad Usman battles Giannis Skordilis in the super-lightweight class. The epicenter of the night will be a national grand prix built in the format of a 4 man tournament. Dimitris Chiotis, Aris Bellos, Guruli Levan and Alexandris Gerekos will figure the baddest man in the middleweight category.
