Kickboxer himself, Jean-Claude Van Damme is coming to Australia with a two-date speaking tour in Sydney and Melbourne.
Belgium-born Jean-Claude Van Damme, 55, is one of the most eminent Hollywood actors of all times. Renowned ‘The Muscles from Brussels’ knocked out the US box-office in 1988 with the Bloodsport film. The next year he was instrumental in bringing the art of Muay Thai to the Wide Screen. Indeed, the Kickboxer went in history as the first to deliver the action from Thailand across the world. The following work saw the big budget pictures, such as Double Impact and Universal Soldier. In 2012 JCVD played the lead villain in the Expendables II. He was opposite all of the first-string names including Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jason Statham. All up Van Damme starred in over 40 movies that have grossed over $1.5 billion. He is currently working with the Kickboxer: Vengeance film.
Van Damme visits Australia for the very first time in over 18 years.
‘JCVD Unplugged and Unscripted’ titles the theater style show. The actor will reportedly share untold stories of his life, career and movies. The Martial Arts as well as the health and fitness topics feature in the programme. The open question and answer session with the audience is also on the schedule. The host of the evening is a TV-presenter Richard Wilkins.
On Wednesday, August 24 JCVD is at The Star in Sydney, NSW. The audience in Melbourne will see him on Sunday, August 28 at the Convention & Exhibition Centre. The released tickets price starts from the $89 Limited-Silver admission up to the Rockstar Experience at $1497. In addition, a private dinner for 15 people is also on the proposed list.
