Fabrice Aurieng of France faced off Ondrej Hutnik of Czech Republic for the WKN kickboxing world title.
Super heavyweights highlighted the forth episode of Dark Fights on Saturday, November 19, 2016 in Marseille, France. The sold out gala aired live on l’Equipe 21.
French star Jerome Le Banner previously owned the title. “Geronimo” earned the belt in 1998 at Don King promotion in Atlanta, GA, USA. He faced off Brazilian Espedito da Silva in the under card of Holyfield vs Bean for the WBA and IBF heavyweight titles.
Prior retirement in 2015 Le Banner defended his belt several times. He then vacated the title giving an opportunity to a new generation to challenge for the prestigious belt.
The scheduled for five by three minute rounds Aurieng vs Hutnik bout ended in the forth. After defending Aurieng’s head kick the guest from Czech Republic countered with a spinning back fist that dropped Frenchman to the canvas.
Hutnik declared a knockout victory. As a result he became a new WKN kickboxing super heavyweight champion of the world.
