Cedric Doumbe takes on Yoann Kongolo in the main event at Glory 39 Brussels on Saturday March 25.
Cedric Doumbe (65-4-1) of France is a current promotion’s inaugural welterweight champion. He claimed the belt last December in Germany taking a decision against Dutch Nieky Holzken. At Glory 39 Brussels, a newly crowned title holder is going up against his long time vis-a-vis, Swiss Yoann Kongolo (64-8-0).
Doumbe and Kongolo have already fought twice. The debut encounter happened in 2014 in Delemont. The second bout was held in 2015 in Lille. On both occasions the fighter out of Switzerland earned the unanimous decision. In addition, Kongolo took all 4-man contender tournament last month in Los Angeles, consequently qualifying for the title shot.
In the co-main event Jahfarr Wilnis of Netherlands battles out against Jamal Ben Saddik of Morocco. The four-man tournament also features on the program. The card is currently in makes.
The fight card comprises a series of super fights. Thai fighter Sittichai squares off with Dylan Salvador of France. Marat Grigorian of Belgium takes on Swiss Hysni Bequiri. Also on the card Hesdy Gerges of Holland vs Chi Lew Parry of England, and Karim Benmansour of France vs Harut Grigorian of Armenia.
