Simply The Best 13 Prague starts the third season of kickboxing series on European network SFR Sport 5.
Czech Republic is a prominent participant of kickboxing world. As well as competing internationally, Czech fighters battle out on the home soil. This is where promoter Petr Lamac schedules the next Simply The Best gala on Saturday April 29.
Simply The Best 13 Prague is the third edition organized in the country. The show in 2015 produced the fourth episode. In the main event Frenchman Nicolas Wamba earned the WKN intercontinental title in the fight against local Petr Vondracek. In 2016 the tenth episode saw a defending champion out of France. Wamba faced off another heavyweight “made-in Czech”, Ondrej Hutnik. The knockout in Round 3 proclaimed a new title holder consequently keeping a prestigious belt in the country-host of the event.
The WKN world office advised this morning that the fight card for the upcoming episode is currently in makes. Although no details on the matchmaking have been revealed so far, there is a potential to witness Ondrej Hutnik in defense of his world title. Indeed, a notable Czech fighter is a current champion of the world. He caused an upset last December in France with a knockout victory against Fabrice Aurieng. As a result Hutnik earned the belt previously owned and vacated by Jerome Le Banner himself.
In addition, earlier this month Kickboxing Series announced the dates and places of the upcoming shows. In June “STB” makes a debut in Thailand. The country host for the following episode is not yet confirmed although Australia has a potential to feature on the program. Slovakia produces episode 16 in October. Argentina accommodates the next event in November. Belgium concludes the season with the show in December.
