Kickboxing World Cup 2017: WKN championship belt at stake

Kickboxing world championships 2017 is held on March 10, 2017 in Tehran, Iran.

Kickboxing World Cup 2017 unites twelve Nations producing a sports fiesta. Eight international competitors will battle out for a prestigious WKN championship belt. The format, is an 8-man one night tournament in the welterweight class. The quarterfinals and semi-finals will go ahead at 3 x 2 minute rounds. The finale is scheduled at 5 x 2. In addition, four international title bouts feature on the program. The World Kickboxing Network revealed a complete fight card on Sunday.

Mohammed Hossein Daroudian is a representative of the country host. Askgar Hosejni comes from Afghanistan. Christopher Rotin jets from Malta. Eric N’Singa represents Congo. Also on the card Frenchman Ilan Durand and Italian Mattia Peddio. Andreas Charitou of Cyprus and Tsuyoshi Haruno of Japan conclude the list of the names in the tournament.

Moreover the program comprises four 3 x 3 minute rounds international title bouts. Local Sina Karimian squares off with Neil Aquino of Germany in the super cruiserweight encounter. Also Vahid Mahdavi takes on Slovak Denis Lamanec in the super light heavyweight match.

The WKN world office announced the names of the participants of the following two championships. Armin Ebrahimpour goes up against Anucha Kanthongtab of Vietnam in the middleweight challenge. In conclusion, Mohammad Siahat Maradi faces off Thailand’s Pong Chuenchun in the super middleweight bout.

Chris Christodoulou of Cyprus is a supervisor of the championship. Due to the current political situation in the World, American referee Steve Smoger reportedly will not be able to attend the event.
