French kickboxing star Nicolas Wamba takes on Tofan Pirani of Iran for the WKN intercontinental title

Nicolas Wamba takes on Tofan Pirani in the main event of Trophee de l’Ephebe de Kickboxing on May 12, 2017 in Cap d’Agde.

Frenchman Nicolas Wamba, 29, is a well-known name in the heavyweight kickboxing. Fighting out of the MasterKick under the patronage of Christophe Dragole, “The Junior” (38-7) is a former WKN world and intercontinental titles holder. He vacated his belts after losing against Ondrej Hutnik at Simply The Best 10 last April.

Wamba has indeed been a prospect of the same caliber as famed “Geronimo” Jerome Le Banner. Among everything, in 2011 he has also won the Bigger’s Better Boxing tournament, episode 8 Lisbon, live on Eurosport. He has also taken part in two more shows and came out as the semi-finalist. Furthermore, he KO’d Arnold Oborotov at Fight Night Saint Tropez 2014 and also fought at such promotions as Super Kombat.

Wamba has fought Stephane Susperregui, Fabrice Aurieng, Frank Munoz, Jamal Ben Saddik and Petr Vondracek among others. In addition, his tale of the tape includes the 1-1 record in GLORY and 6, 1 KO – 2 record in boxing.

Last June Wamba stepped back on the winning path. He went to origins and fought for European title, scoring a decision over Czech Michal Reissinger. The next vis-a-vis was his country-fellow Nordine Mahieddine. Wamba similarly earned the decision.

Tofan Pirani (76, 22 KOs – 18) forms the opposition for “The Junior” on May 13. Iranian-Swedish fighter will jet to France to challenge the local favorite. Over the year experienced competitor took on such fighters as Stefan Leko and Bob Sapp. He has also won All-Asia championship last year in Thailand.

The pair headlines TEKB fight show in Agde. The super heavyweight kickboxing bout will go ahead at 3 x 3 minute rounds. The WKN kickboxing intercontinental championship belt at stake.
