Dark Fights 5: Capital Fights
Dark Fights is an international kickboxing series made-in France. The shows are broadcasted on L’Equipe 21 and SFR Sport. Last year the promotion has produced four events in the major cities such as Paris, Lyon, Marseille and Saint Tropez. Three prestigious WKN World titles were challenged during the season. The list of competitors comprised some of the most notable fighters including French Fabrice Aurieng and Yohan Lidon, Czech Ondrej Hutnik, Armenian Karapet Karapetyan, among others.
The man behind the scenes is a former ISKA World president, Olivier Muller. Furthermore, he is a promoter of the renowned Fight Night Saint Tropez. The backbone is the World Kickboxing Network. Last November it was revealed that “in 2017 international kickboxing series ‘Dark Fights’ plan numerous events in France as well as across the World”.
On Friday the organization announced the start of the second season. Dark Fights 5 is held on May 20 in Paris. The event is sub-titled as the “Capital Fights”. The current WKN super middleweight world champion Yohan Lidon is targeted to headline the show. The name of his opponent, as well as the rest of the card has not yet been revealed.
In addition, three weeks earlier Lidon competes in the UAE. He faces off Patrick Vidakovic of Hungary in the second defense of the title. The championship headlines Dubai Fight on May 4.
The Dark Fights series feature on the WKN program of kickboxing events on French television. The schedule also comprises the Simply The Best and Girl Power series. We will have more information as soon as it becomes available.
