Night of Super Fight makes kickboxing history in Sardinia

Kickboxing world championship Piras vs Gozdzicki headlines The Night of Super Fight VI on April 22 in Iglesias.

Lorenzo Piras (20-5-0, 10 KOs) of Sardinia faces off Allan Gozdzicki (45-19–3, 13 KOs) of Belgium this Saturday night at Palestra Comunale Via Pacinotti. The pair headlines The Night of Super Fight 6 in the lightweight kickboxing title clash. The contest is scheduled at 5 x 3 minute rounds in K-1. The Piras vs Gozdzicki championship bout makes history as the first WKN World title challenged on Sardinia Island.

Piras, 24, is the WKN super featherweight European champion. He earned the title against Paolo Renna of Belgium at Simply The Best 12 Farciennes last November. Representing Alias Gym he makes history as the first Italian fighter to challenge for the WKN world title in Sardinia.

Gozdzicki, 31, is a prominent competitor out of Belgium. Representing Osman Gym he has been fighting internationally, collecting the belts while facing off some of the best in business.

The Night of Super Fight 5 card also comprises Sardinia vs Spain contest in muaythai with Alessandro Caredda, Mattia Limbardi, Ninni Marcialis and Alessio Corona competing. In addition a series of super fights feature on the program. Marco Porcedda faces off Edoardo Pisanu. Mattia Peddio squares off with Angelo Urrutia. Nicola Canu takes on Chalh Mohammed. Also, Francesca Kekka Cinus vs Irene Roggio in the female kickboxing bout.

Promoters of the event are Antonio and Alessandro Alias. Over the years the group has held numerous kickboxing shows in Iglesias and Oristano. Local and international athletes showcase their skills inside the boxing ring on Sardinia Island.

The Night of Super Fight 6 in Sardinia is held on the same day as the another world championship gala that the World Kickboxing Network promotes in France. Four world titles at stake at the Full Contact Night in Nice. As an ultimate result the night will crown five new holders of the prestigious WKN belts.
