WKN kickboxing world champion Gregory Tony is announced for main event at Fight Night Saint Tropez

VIP event Fight Night Saint Tropez is held on August 4

The fifth edition of the famed “Fight Night” is in makes. The gala originally broke the news in 2013 with the attendance of Rocky himself, Sylvester Stallone. The concept continues the journey of popularizing kickboxing globally. The events bring under the same roof the A-list celebrities with the elite fighters from across the world.

The roster at Fight Night Saint Tropez comprises some of the most notable kickboxers. Over the years the list included Jerome Le Banner, Yohan Lidon and Yoann Kongolo and many others. Among the “Rich and Famous”, it was Mickey Rourke who has delighted the spirit of the sporting fiesta last year. In addition, the gala features on the program of the Dark Fights kickboxing series on French television networks L’Equipe and SFR Sport.

The backbone is the World Kickboxing Network. This week the organization announced that Gregory Tony (81-16, 56 KOs) will battle out in the main event of Fight Night Saint Tropez 2017.

French fighter Gerg Tony is the current WKN World super heavyweight champion in K-1. He earned the belt in 2014 against Dmytro Bezus of Ukraine. He has made two title defenses against Milan Dasic and Yannick Vest.

During his career Tony has also earned the victories against some of the best in business including Daniel Ghita and Errol Zimmerman, just to name a couple. He has also took on such giants as Badr Hari and Hesdy Gerges.

As well, Tony’s record in pro-boxing comprises 21-7, 16 KOs. He also states 2-0 in MMA.

Fight Night Saint Tropez 2017

On August 4 Gregory Tony will enter the ring as the competitor for the last time. It has not yet been announced if the bout is the title defense, as well as the name of his opponent has not yet been revealed. We will have more information as soon as it becomes available.
