Full Contact: world championship kickboxing in Nice

Full Contact kickboxing is held Saturday night in Nice. Four best athletes representing the city face off international elite in the world championship bouts. Prestigious WKN World titles will be contested on the night. The championship supervisor is Habib Bakir, representing the World Kickboxing Network.

Promoter of the event is Edmond Ardissone. Known as one of the pioneers of Full Contact in France, he is a former three-time world champion of the Professional Karate Association & also the PKC.

“I want, is give to the public the best show that it deserves, that is why we work with the WKN. Each time WKN gives us the best fighters,” Ardissone told fightmag.com.au on Wednesday. “With good fighters, we have good shows that become famous. It is true, WKN is Simply The Best!”

The program comprises three 12-round bouts in Full Contact as well as the 5-round contest in the oriental kickboxing (K-1). In the main event Jerome Ardissone (30-4, 7 KOs) of France faces off Jin Ho Park (28-6) of South Korea. The pair will challenge for the WKN World Full Contact bantamweight title.

In the co-main event Jonathan Pastorino (30-8-1) of France goes up against Sultanishvili Tsotne (17-4) of Georgia. The WKN World Full Contact super featherweight belt at stake.

Also, Kamel Jebir (15-1, 8 KOs) of France squares off with Samuel Hadzima (45-12, 16 KOs) of Slovakia. The WKN World Full Contact super lightweight title fight is for grabs.

In addition, Gregory Grossi (65-12-3) of France tales on Michele Mastromatteo (26-5) of Italy. The contest is for the WKN World super light heavyweight kickboxing (oriental rules) title.

“Fighters who come to Nice has to know that they can win. But it won’t be a piece of cake because our guys are better,” said the event-maker Ardissone highly anticipating the event.

“To date we have promoted 6 WKN world championships. With this show it’s going to make it 10!”

Full Contact gala in French Nice is held on the same day as the another world championship fight night that the World Kickboxing Network promotes on Sardinia Island. The Night of Super Fight 6: Piras vs Gozdzicki for the WKN World lightweight title is held in Iglesias. Ultimately the night will crown five new holders of the prestigious belts.
