Kickboxing: Bob Sapp and Yohan Lidon added to Fight Night Saint Tropez 2017 fight card

VIP kickboxing event Fight Night Saint Tropez is held on August 4 at the Citadel.

The fifth edition of Fight Night Saint Tropez is in makes. On Friday the World Kickboxing Network announced that the super heavyweight champion out of France Gregory Tony headlines the event. On Sunday the organization revealed that the super middleweight title holder Yohan Lidon and renowned Bob Sapp feature on the card.

French star Yohan Lidon (92-35-1, 55 KOs) has a busy schedule. On May 4 he faces off Patrick Vidakovic of Hungary in the second defense of the belt. The bout headlines Dubai Fight at the One & Only Royal Mirage. The representative of the team Nasser K is also announced to headline the start of Dark Fights series Season 2. The episode Capital Fights is held on May 20 in Paris.

At Fight Night Saint Tropez Lidon will appear for the second time. He headlined the previous gala battling out against Danijel Solaja of Germany. He defended the WKN title and furthermore received the belt from the hands of the Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke. The name of Lidon’s opponent at the upcoming show is not yet announced.

Coming out of the professional wrestling with the background of the American football, Bob Sapp (12-17, 9 KOs) is a well-known personality in the fighting circuits. Although not claiming to be the first string kickboxer in the heavyweight class, he went up against some of the biggest names of K-1. “The Beast” took on Remy Bonjasky, Mirko Filipovic, Jerome Le Banner, Peter Aerts, just to name a few. He has also competed in MMA comprising the 11-19-1 record.

The previous edition of Fight Night Saint Tropez produced the +500 kg 4-man tournament with Tomas Mozny of Slovakia coming out as a victor. This year, only Sapp himself brings to the table 150 kg. He will appear inside the ring competing in kickboxing. We will have more information as soon as it becomes available.
