Simply The Best 14 Prague starts the third season on SFR Sport 5
STB 14 Prague is a mixed gala of Kickboxing and MMA bouts held this Saturday at Top Hotel Praha. The event starts the third season of the WKN world series on European network SFR Sport 5.
The program comprises the A-list of competitors representing Czech Republic face off some of the most notable international fighters. World champion Ondrej Hutnik and a former title holder Petr Vondracek are among others. Three WKN title belts will be contested during the evening.
On the top of the bill Matous Kohout (16-4-0) of Czech battles out against Jente Van Hul (35-4-1) of Belgium. The challenge is for the WKN European middleweight title in oriental kickboxing. Also, Jan Holec (38-14-3) of Czech takes on renowned Tomasz Makowski (36-7-0) of Poland. The contest is for the WKN International featherweight title in oriental kickboxing.
On Wednesday the organization announced that the WKN championship in MMA between Viktor Pavlicek (3-0-0) of Czech and Ivo Cuk (15-8-0) of Croatia is cancelled due to an inury received of the local fighter. Alexandr Cverna (6-3-0) of Czech and Adnan Alic (7-7-1) of Serbia will now contest for the title.
Cverna was previously lined up to fight his country-fellow Robert Voves (3-1-0). The promotion advised that the updated fight card will be revealed on Thursday.
Cverna vs Alic is the 120 kg WKN International title fight. The MMA bout is scheduled at 3x5mn rounds.
The World Kickboxing Network is a pioneer to organize MMA bouts on the territory of Europe. Since late 90’s the organization is the official representative of the International Vale Tudo Council (IVC) founded in Brazil. In February the WKN promoted the national championship of Spain at the Hombres de Honor 82 MMA gala in Madrid.
In addition, kickboxing series Simply The Best, episode 14 Prague, aspires to support the 6-year-old Maximek. The charity campaign is scheduled to take place at the event.
