Kickboxing gala Dubai Fight: Two WKN World titles at stake

Lidon vs Vidakovic for WKN World super middleweight title in oriental kickboxing headlines Dubai Fight

Dubai Fight is a world-class event held on May 4 at The One & Only Royal Mirage. The fight card comprises kickboxing, muaythai and MMA bouts. Three WKN titles will be contested during the evening. Moreover, the “Giant Movie Fight Show” features on the program.

In the main the current WKN World super middleweight champion Yohan Lidon of France faces of Patrick Vidakovic of Hungary in the second defense of the belt. In the co-main event Karim Bennoui of France is up against Antoine Habash of Hungary. The contest is for the vacant WKN World super featherweight title.

Also on the card, Mohammad Yahya (3-1) of UAE takes on Mahmoud Mohamed (4-4) of Egypt. The MMA challenge is for the WKN International super heavyweight belt.

Last the week the organization updated the fight card announcing an additional contest in Muay Thai. The bantamweights Amine Kacem of France and Alessandro Curleo of Italy set to start the program.

In addition, the Giant Movie Fight Shows tops up the level of entertainment. The famed body builder out of France, Morgan Aste aka “The Big Rock” squares off with the prominent French-American actor and martial artist Emilien de Falco. The latter is known for such movies as District 13: Ultimatum, Deadliest Warrior, among others, as well as the body-double of Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Dubai Fight is a return of kickboxing world championship to Emirate. In 2000 the WKN has held the “Grand Tournoi” series with some of the most notable muaythai fighters and kickboxers at that time.

The promoter of the event is Eric Favre of France. The championship supervisor is Osman Yigin of Belgium, representing the World Kickboxing Network.
