Dubai Fight: Eric Favre Sport Games brings kickboxing world championships to the United Arab Emirates

An outstanding gala Dubai Fight was held on Thursday May 4 at The One & Only Royal Mirage. The 7-fight bill comprising kickboxing, muaythai and MMA bouts produced a spectacular fiesta with some of the most notable athletes of today. Three prestigious WKN titles were contested during the evening. In addition, the Giant Movie Fight Show with Emilien de Falco and Morgan Aste featured on the program. Renowned actor Michael Jai White attended the gala among other VIP on the list.

In the headline event the current WKN World middleweight champion Yohan Lidon of France faced of Patrik Vidakovics of Hungary in the second defense of the title. After five rounds of action the Frenchman was awarded the victory by a unanimous decision.

In the co-headline event Karim Bennoui of France was up against Sasa Jovanovic of Austria. The contest was for the vacant WKN World super featherweight title. The decision proclaimed the representative of Team Nasser K in Lyon as a new champion in the division.

Also on the card, Mohammed Yahya of the UAE submitted Mahmoud Mohamed of Egypt in the first round of their MMA encounter. As a result he earned the WKN International welterweight title.

The officials on the night were Klaus Hagemann of Germany, Georgie Vojvoda of Hungary, Alexis Andre of France and Konstantinos Varvadoukas of Greece. The championship supervisor was Osman Yigin of Belgium, representing the World Kickboxing Network.
