Kickboxing rebel Gokhan Saki attends Dubai Fight, trains with Michael Jai White

Eric Favre presented kickboxing gala Dubai Fight on May 4 at the One&Only Royal Mirage.

World championship kickboxing returned to the UAE this past Thursday. The VIP event Dubai Fight organized by Eric Favre Sport Games has produced a spectacular fiesta with some of the most prominent competitors battling on the night. Furthermore, the guest list comprised the renowned actors, athletes and martial artists.


On the top of the bill the current World Kickboxing Network super middleweight champion Yohan Lidon of France made the second title defense, earning a decision against Patrik Vidakovics of Hungary. In addition, his country-fellow Karim Bennoui captured the WKN World super featherweight belt, similarly defeating Sasa Jovanovic of Austria.

The Dutch-Turkish fighter Gokhan Saki is a former GLORY light heavyweight champion. However “The Rebel” has cemented his name in history yet over a decade ago. Saki represents the great days of K-1 and It’s Showtime. He stands alongside such legends of sport as Remy Bonjasky, Ernesto Hoost, Petr Aerts, Badr Hari.

On Friday, Saki posted a photo on his profile on Instagram. It shows him shoulder to shoulder with a famous american actor and martial artist, Michael Jai White.

“Dubai Fight Night with my man Michael Jai White. Well organised by Eric Favre. Thank you for your hospitality,” Saki wrote in the caption.

The day earlier, Michael Jai White has also shared a photo in social media. The snap shows him in the gym with “The Rebel”.

“Yesterday I got the chance to train with one of my favorite fighters in the world, ‘The Turkish Tyson’ Gokhan Saki. Big things on his horizon,” captioned the photo Michael Jai White – the man who made a breakout performance in the 1995 HBO film Tyson, portraying the great Mike Tyson.

The number of eminent personalities appearing at Dubai Fight included French-American actor Emilien De Falco, French bodybuilder Morgan Aste, as well as a former world champion Osman Yigin, who was the championship supervisor representing the WKN, and many others.
