International kickboxing promotion Bosch Tour 4 is held on Sunday in Buenos Aires.
Argentina is again the capital of kickboxing in South America. The fourth edition of Bosch Tour brings the first string athletes from throughout the region to compete in the ring of Buenos Aires.
In February the organization has started the season producing the WKN South American championship at Mariano Moreno Club. Argentine Martin Velasco defeated Christian Veloto of Paraguay by a unanimous decision as well as claimed the middleweight title.
The announced show this coming Sunday is, similarly, the intercontinental title clash. Fighting on his home soil Damien Alcaraz faces off Bruno Gasparzinho of Brazil. The three-round contest is for the WKN South American bantamweight title in Muay Thai. In addition the program comprises a series of kickboxing and muaythai bouts with local and international competitors.
Promoters of the event are Cristian Bosch and Hector Valiente. The WKN World crusierweight champion “Serpiente” Bosch is a notable character in South America. Over the years he himself headlined numerous fight promotions as well as collected the prestigious WKN belt. Valiente is a prominent event-maker and producer, known for three Argentine episodes of kickboxing series Simply The Best broadcased live on FOX Sports LA and European network SFR Sport 5.
The coordinator of event is Fernando Munoz, representing the World Kickboxing Network. Famed Jorge “Acero” Cali attends the show.
Argentina is arguably the strongest kickboxing territory in South American region. To date the country has built as many as four recognized world kickboxing champions such as Jorge Cali, Cristian Bosch, Ignacio Capllonch and Federico Roma.
