Kickboxing: Tomas Mozny faces off Alen Kapetanovic in Kosice

International kickboxing returns to Slovakia with Rebuy Stars Fight Night on Saturday June 3 in Kosice. The event is presented by a group of the “Simply The Best” promoters Lukas Bodyy of Slovakia and Petr Lamac of Czech. The latter has recently produced kickboxing series STB 14 Prague.


The program of the upcoming show comprises Kickboxing and MMA bouts. On Monday the organization announced the five-fight card of the stand-up action. Two World Kickboxing Network titles will be challenged during the evening.

“The Giant Slovak” Tomas Mozny headlines the event when he takes on Alen Kapetanovic of Czech. The contest is a three-round non-title bout in the super heavyweight class.

Mozny is the first string kickboxer out of Slovakia. He is a two-time WKN European champion, as well as the +500 kg tournament winner at Fight Night Saint Tropez last year. Czech fighter Kapetanovic is an active competitor, who among everything went up against Greg Tony for the WKN title, although facing a defeat.

In the co-headline event Vladimir Konsky of Slovakia is up against Kevin Maertens of France. The contest is for the WKN International super welterweight title.

Also on the card Samuel Hadzima face off Lukas Mandinec. The pair battles out for the WKN Slovakian lightweight belt.

In addition, two bouts are in the final stage of confirmation. Vladimir Idrany of Slovakia takes on Petros Vardakas of Greece in the light heavyweight international encounter. As well, Pavol Garaj of Slovakia goes up against David van Branteghem of Belgium at super welterweight.

Super heavyweight: Tomas Mozny vs. Alen Kapetanovic
Super welterweight: Vladimir Konsky vs. Kevin Maertens – WKN title
Lightweight: Samuel Hadzima vs. Lukas Mandinec – WKN title
