Nicolas Wamba to face Jhonata Diniz at kickboxing gala Glory 42 Paris

Kickboxing promotion Glory 42 Paris is held on Saturday June 10.

Glory 42 Paris is a return of a notable sports league to France. The organization has held its 28th show in March 2016.


In the main event Cedric Doumbe of France takes on Nieky Holzken of Holland in defense of the welterweight title. The bout is a rematch following their encounter in 2016 when the Frenchman took a split decision as well as claimed the belt.

For Doumbe the bout is the second title defense since he has earned a unanimous decision against Swiss Yoann Konlogo in March. For Holzken it is an opportunity to take a revenge, moreover regain the title.

A heavyweight bout between Nicolas Wamba (39-7-0) of France and Jhonata Diniz (15-5-0) of Brazil reportedly features on the program. The promotion has not yet formally announced the match.

Wamba is coming out of three victories against Czech fighter Michal Reissinger, his country-fellow Nordine Mahieddine and the most recent Kocjan Lukasz of Poland. The bout against Diniz will be his third appearance at Glory where to date he has collected the 1-1 record.

Diniz is a regular competitor at Glory with the 3-3 record added to his overall tale of the tape. His most recent bout was in January in Los Angeles where he earned a unanimous decision against “The Giant Slovak” Tomas Mozny. Furthermore, he has previously went up against such names as Hesdy Gerges of Egypt, Daniel Ghita of Romania and the current Glory heavyweight champion Dutch Rico Verhoeven.

In addition, Yohan Lidon of France reportedly faces off Belgium-Armenian Harut Grigorian in the welterweight bout. Glory 42 fight card is currently in makes.
