Phenix Muay Thai 9: Fouquet vs Zubco for WKN European title

International promotion Phenix Muay Thai 9 in held on Saturday July 1 in Trets.

Phenix Muay Thai 9 brings European championship to southeast of France. The event is a fourteen-fight bill comprising kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA bouts. Prestigious World Kickboxing Network championship belt will be contest during the event.

In the main event Fabien Fouquet of France squares off against Dragos Zubco of Moldova. The contest is for the WKN European super cruiserweight title in K-1.

The representative of the country-host Fouquet is known for his bouts against such names as Emanuel Payet and Correntin Jallon, just to name a couple. Zubco made headlines when he defeated Lucian Danilencu of Italy earlier this year taking the WKN International belt.

In addition, Fouquet vs Zubco is a rematch. The pair has met last July with Moldovan fighter earning a TKO victory in the first round due to an injury of his opponent. In summary, the Frenchman aspires to take a revenge, while the guest out of Moldova looks forward to upgrade his rank.
