Dragos Zubco becomes WKN European champion.

Super cruiserweight Dragos Zubco of Moldova defeated local favorite, French Fabien Fouquet on Saturday July 1 in Trets. The contest was for the WKN European title.

The pair battled out in the rematch with their original encounter held last July in La Grande-Motte. Back then the Moldovan fighter won the fight via the first-round TKO due to an injury of his opponent.

Their second encounter has also ended prior the final bell. Zubco similarly took a TKO victory, this time in Round 2.

As a result Moldovan adds the second prestigious WKN belt to his collection. In January Zubco earned a decision against Lucian Danilencu claiming the WKN International title in Turin.

Zubco vs Fouquet headlined a mixed gala Phenix Muay Thai 9 promoted by Anthony Perrin. The program comprised a series of kickboxing and muaythai bouts, as well as the MMA contests. Complete results can be found below.
