WKN Kickboxing announces fighters partaking at Fight Night Saint Tropez

Kickboxing gala Fight Night Saint Tropez is held on August 4 at the Citadel.

This year famed Fight Night Saint Tropez marks the date of its fifth anniversary. The promotion originally hit the headlines in 2013 making its debut with “Geronimo” Jerome Le Banner battling out in defense of the World Kickboxing Network super heavyweight title. Furthermore the best cinematic boxer of all time, Rocky Balboa himself, Sylvester Stallone attended the event.

Indeed, “Fight Night” is a unique gathering in the city of “Rich and Famous”, Saint Tropez. It features some of the most prominent kickboxers and celebrities. Last year it was a former boxer and notable actor Mickey Rourke who appeared at the show as a special guest, while French star Yohan Lidon governed the fight bill.

Earlier this week the WKN announced the main event bout at Fight Night Saint Tropez 2017. World champion out of France Gregory Tony faces off American Bob Sapp in a three-round non-title K-1 contest.

On Wednesday the organization revealed the names of other participants featured on the roster. The program includes the well-known French fighters Yohan Lidon, Stephane Susperregui and Zinedine Hameur-Lain. Daniel Sam of England, Congolese-German Danyo Ilunga as well as “Slovakian Giant” Tomas Mozny also battle out at the show. Over the years the above athletes have appeared at numerous world-class events around the Globe, such as Total Carnage Fight Night in Australia, Dubai Fight in UAE and GLORY world series.

The match-ups for Fight Night Saint Saint Tropez 2017 have not yet been formally announced. The names of other fighters participating in the event are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. We will have more information as soon as it becomes available.
