Kunlun Fight 64: French Laetitia Madjene of WKN Top Team in the final of women's kickboxing tournament

Kickboxing promotion Kunlun Fight 64 is held on July 15 in Chongqing.

Kunlun Fight 64 is the following edition of Chinese kickboxing series. The event held in Chongqing is a large sixteen-fight program featuring local and international competitors.

A number of super fights are scheduled alongside the final bout of the 61.5 kg women’s kickboxing tournament. At the previous events the organization has held the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the eliminator. The championship round at the upcoming show is a clash between Laetitia Madjene of France and the representative of the country-host Wang Kehan.

Fighting out of the Dynamite Center in Jacou, the representative of the WKN Top Team Laetita Madjene entered the eight-woman contest as a wild card last October. She was a replacement for Belgian Anke Van Gestel, earning a unanimous decision against Candice Mitchell of Canada. In the semi-final in May “Miss Dynamite” similarly defeated Anissa Haddaoui of Holland, advancing to the final.

Chinese Wang Kehan was victorious against Greek Korina Papachrysanthou in the quarter-final. In the semi-final she defeated Anke Van Gestel via extra round decision. The latter was placed back into the contest replacing Brazilian Juliana Werner. In summary Kehan earned her ticket to the ultimate match, happening on Saturday.

The announced list of other bouts featured at Kunlun Fight 64 fight card includes Alexander Stetsurenko of Russia up against Artur Kyshenko. As well, Surinamese-Dutch Cedric Manhoef takes on Jomthong Chuwattana of Thailand. Sasa Jovanovic of Austria squares off against Lei Feng of China. Japanese Takuya Imamura battles out against Kong Linfeng of China, among others.
