Kickboxing gala Fight Night Saint Tropez marks its fifth anniversary on Friday August 4.
Fight Night Saint Tropez is known as one of the most glamorous sporting events in the World. Making its debut in 2013, the show made the headlines, gathering under one roof some of the most notable fighters of today’s era of kickboxing and the A-list celebrities.
French K-1 star of all time Jerome Le Banner, Yohan Lidon, Nicolas Wamba, Yoann Kongolo, as well as Muay Thai star Chomannee Taehiran, among others, battled out in the ring at the Citadel. The list of the invitees comprised the first string of French actors, singers and musicians, moreover the super heavyweights out of Hollywood such as Sylvester Stallone and Mickey Rourke.
The upcoming show on August 4 is the next edition of a spectacular event Fight Night Saint Tropez, that this year celebrates its fifth anniversary. Earlier this month the World Kickboxing Network announced the fighters expected at the event.
The roster includes the well-known French athletes such as Yohan Lidon, Stephane Susperregui and Zinedine Hameur-Lain. As well, the international competitors Daniel Sam of England, Congolese-German Danyo Ilunga and “Slovakian Giant” Tomas Mozny partake in the event.
The main event is an international clash between the WKN World super heavyweight champion in K-1, French Gregory Tony and Bob “The Beast” Sapp, the renowned American footballer, wrestler and actor. The challenge is a three-round non-title bout.
Anticipating the event, the organization hit the stream with a new clip posted on Thursday. The video is a highlight of four previous episodes of the Fight Night Saint Tropez.
