Pavel Zhuravlev defeats Saulo Cavalari

Kickboxing promotion Glory 43 was held on Friday July 14 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York. The event showcased a five-fight Glory 43 New York program live on ESPN, that followed a six-fight Glory 43 Super Fight Series card on UFC Fight Pass.

In the main event of Glory 43 New York Guto Inocente took a split decision against Benjamin Adegbuyi at heavyweight. Kevin Vannostrand won a four-man featherweight tournament, when he stopped Mo Abdurahman in the first round, as well as earned a unanimous decision against Giga Chikadze. In addition Elvis Gashi defeated Josh Jauncey by TKO in Round 2.

The light heavyweight interim championship between Pavel Zhuravlev and Saulo Cavalari headlined Glory 43 Super Fight Series. After three-rounds of action the Ukrainian “Caiman” claimed a unanimous decision. He is expected to fight the reigning champion, Russian Russia Artem Vakhitov, in a championship unification at a later date.

Also on the card Bailey Sugden took a unanimous decision against Arthur Sorsor. As well, Anissa Meksen similarly defeated Jady Menezes.
