Yohan Lidon vs Florian Kroger headlines kickboxing VIP event Fight Night Saint Tropez.

Kickboxing gala Fight Night Saint Tropez celebrates its fifth anniversary on Friday August 4. The happening is known as one of the most glamorous events in the world. It gathers numerous notable fighters and celebrities under one roof.

The World Kickboxing Network has previously revealed some of the names expected to partake at the upcoming show. The program also features a highly anticipated international super fight between French world champion Gregory Tony and “The Beast” out of the Unites States, Bob Sapp.

On Sunday the organization announced the main event bout. The contest features Yohan Lidon (92-36-1, 55 KO) of France up against Florian Kroger (39-8-1, 18 KO) of Germany. The challenge is for the WKN World super middleweight title.

Yohan Lidon, 34, is a reigning champion in the division. He won the title in May 2016 in Paris by way of knockout against Karapet Karapetyan. In August the same year he defended the belt against Danijel Solaja winning by points in St Tropez. In May Lidon made the second defense earning the decision against Patrik Vidakovics at Dubai Fight.

The clash with Kroger is the next title defense for Lidon. Moreover, it is his chance step back on the winning track, following the defeat he faced against Yoann Kongolo at Glory 42 Paris in June.

The challenger, Florian Kroger is a 24-year-old kickboxer out of Hamburg, representing Xite Gym. Over the course of his career, a former WAKO world champion battled out against such opponents as Micheal Lorenz, Efe Sipahi, Sascha Valentic, Radoslaw Paczulski, among others. He has also gone into a draw with prominent Frenchman Karim Benmansour.

Other bouts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The currently revealed line-up can be found below.
