Women’s kickboxing series Girl Power 4 airs Friday October 13 on SFR Sport 5.
Fight Like a Girl, Girl Power 4 continues a series of the women’s kickboxing contest live on SFR Sport 5. Each episode features eight international competitors battling out in a one-night knockout tournament: quarter-final, semi-final and final. To take all, the contender has to collect three victories during one evening. Prestigious WKN championship belt at stake.
The producer of the series is the Bigger’s Better Boxing. The backbone is the World Kickboxing Network. In 2014 the organization presented the pilot on PPV. Since February 2017 the series air on European television with SFR. The previous event was Girl Power 3 Sunny Beach held in June.
The Hall of Fame referee out of the United States, Steve Smoger officiates the bouts. The ring announcer is a famed journalist and producer out of France, Jean-Philippe Lustyk.
To date the promotion revealed the names of five athletes partaking in the upcoming show Girl Power 4. The roster comprises Ashley Gilson of Belgium, Pernille Schjonning of Denmark, Tereza Dvorakova of Czech, Cathy McAleer of Northern Ireland and Amalia Koleva of Bulgaria. The latter is the most recent addition to the program.
Fighting out of Sofia, Amalia Koleva, 36, is a two time world champion in Taekwondo, as well as a multiple time European champion. With the 10-1 record in kickboxing, she is also a bronze medalist at WAKO world championships, representing ABC Fight Club.
