On Thursday Sylvester Stallone shared a new eye-catching graphic on his profile on Instagram. It shows his best friend Rocky up against “The Notorious” Conor McGregor.

According to what appears to be the rope, the pair are presumably inside the square circle. Rocky wears boxing gloves, while the UFC lightweight champion appears in MMA gloves. Ultimately, the action features the boxing icon out of the big screen landing the left jab on the UFC superstar.

“In the world of fantasy this might’ve happened if Rocky ever fought Connor McGregor,” Sylvester Stallone wrote in the caption.

On August 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Conor McGregor goes up against one of the greatest boxers of all time, a five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather. The encounter is arguably the biggest “what if” boxing match. The May-Mac world tour took its place mid July in four cities, such as LA, Toronto, Brooklyn and London.

In June TMZ Sports released the footage with Sylvester Stallone sharing his opinion on who’s going to win this highly anticipated, furthermore intriguing clash. When asked if he has McGregor’s side, Sly replied with “I always have the underdog”.

“He is a real life Rocky. But then again, I live in fantasy,” said Sylvester Stallone.

Talking whether Mayweather vs McGregor fight is good for boxing, Stallone said that “it’s the best”. He also outlined that since such contest has no precedent in the past, anything can happen.

“Let’s put it this way guy, it’s never been done before. So you never know.”
