John Wayne Parr in spinning jump kick action at Caged Muay Thai 10 – video

John Wayne Parr vs James Heelan fight video highlight

Australian John Wayne Parr faced off James Heelan of Ireland on Friday August 4 in Brisbane. The middleweight bout headlined the tenth edition of CMT that features Muay Thai rules in the octagon with the fighters battling out in the MMA gloves. The Pay-Per-View event produced a twelve-fight program with the Australian athletes up against international opponents.

The Parr vs Heelan challenge went the distance. The judges verdict proclaimed “The Gunslinger” as a winner via a unanimous decision. As a result he defended his CMT middleweight belt.

On Wednesday the promotion released a highlight video of the event. On Thursday Parr shared a new reel on Facebook. The clip is a highlight of his bout against the Irish competitor.

“Small highlight of my fight Friday. Thought I would experiment with some old school tricks pretending I was still in my early 20’s. Was fun to get airborne again with some of the techniques,” Parr wrote in the caption.

The footage indeed shows the 41-year-old executing numerous spinning back kicks as well as the jump elbow. Earlier this week Parr has also posted a couple of images on his profile on Instagram. The photos show him performing a spinning back kick.

“41 years old and still trying to be one of the cool kids. Oh, we throwing spinning s**t now,” he captioned.

Parr is now scheduled for Italy, making his second appearance at Bellator Kickboxing this December. The name of his opponent yet to be announced.
