Nathan Cleverly vs Badou Jack added to Mayweather vs McGregor fight card

Boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor is held on August 26 at T-Mobile Area in Las Vegas. Scheduled for 12 rounds light middleweight encounter is a clash between a five-division World Champion and the current UFC lightweight title holder. The main card airs on Showtime PPV following a preliminary program live on FOX.

On Thursday it has been revealed that the Welsh boxer Nathan Cleverly (30-3-0, 16 KO) is added to the program, battling out on the main card. The current WBA World light heavyweight champion is expected to take on Badou Jack (21-1-2, 12 KO) of Sweden.

Cleverly won the title against a former champion out of Germany Juergen Braehmer last year. Jack is a former WBC World super middleweight champion who moved to a heavier class.

An interim WBA World light heavyweight champion out of Russia, Dmitry Bivol (11-0-0, 9 KO) is a mandatory challenger for the belt. According to The Sun the WBA advised that “Cleverly and Bivol have 30 days, from July 27, to reach an agreement or the fight will be called to purse bids.”

American Jamel Herring (16-1, 9 KO), who has recently announced himself at the Mayweather vs McGregor undercard, appears to no longer be featured on the roster. Lightweight southpaw made a new post on Facebook advising his fans that he is fighting on August 22.
