Boxing drama Creed II is expected in cinemas next year
Creed 2 continues a distinguished film-work of Sylvester Stallone, in terms of the legendary Rocky movies. For several weeks the boxing icon out of the big screen has been teasing a plot of the upcoming picture with numerous posts on Instagram.
Portrayed by Dolph Lundgren, Ivan Drago appeared as one of the most featured characters alongside Adonis Johnson-Creed. The latter, portrayed by Michael B. Jordan, is a son of Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) who faced a fatality inside the ring, after he took on the soviet boxer in Rocky IV (1985).
With a chance to “stretch your imagination” in July Stallone posted a graphic that features Ivan Drago up against Adonis Creed. He as well shared a photo of “around 439 handwritten pages” that translates “into about a 120 page typed screenplay”.
However apart of the storyline featured on IMDb the actual script remains unknown. “Adonis Creed tries to seek revenge when he goes toe to toe with the man who killed his father,” says the plot summary.
Nevertheless, Dolph Lundgren definitely appears in the upcoming film. Renowned for portraying USSR’s Ivan Drago, the Hollywood actor has recently practiced his Russian as a villain Konstantin Kovar in the fifth season of “Arrow”.
In addition, on Tuesday Lundgren posted a video on his Instagram advising the world that he is “getting ready for something big”. In the caption to the clip that shows him training he tagged Sylvester Stallone, as well as outlined the Creed2 and IvanDrago hashtags.
