At the official weigh-in ceremony conducted on Friday, UFC lightweight champion out of Ireland, Conor McGregor showed 153 pounds (69.4 kg). The five-division World Champion, American Floyd Mayweather was 149.5 pounds (67.8 kg). The weight difference between the two is over 1.5 kilograms.
Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor headlines the main card on Pay-Per-View. It follows a preliminary card live on FOX.
The program includes American Gervonta Davis up against Francisco Fonseca of Costa Rica. The pair was originally meant to fight for the IBF super featherweight title. Davis was a defending champion but was stripped of the belt when he showed two pounds over the 130 (58.9 kg) limit.
The bout proceeds as scheduled. However it is no longer a title fight for the representative of the country-host. The guest can still take the belt if he wins the contest.
Also on the card British Nathan Cleverly battles out against Swede Badou Jack. The challenge is for WBA light heavyweight title.
