Girl Power – Fight Like a Girl

Eight-woman tournament Girl Power 4 Varna is held on Friday October 13. The show airs on SFR Sport 5 in terms of women’s kickboxing series produced by Bigger’s Better Boxing and World Kickboxing Network on European television. The event is the third episode promoted in Bulgaria.

Girl Power is a one-night eight-woman featherweight kickboxing contest. To take all, the contender has to collect three victories during one evening in the format of the Olympic system tournament: quarter-final, semi-final and final. The fast-paced bouts are scheduled at 3×2 minute rounds. Prestigious WKN championship belt at stake.

On Thursday the organization announced a change in the fight card for the upcoming show. Representing Bosnia and Herzegovina Merima Basic replaces Dragica Jelisavac of Serbia, who was previously expected to partake in the event.

Fighting out of Sarajevo, Merima Basic is a winner at the 23rd Hungarian Kickboxing World Cup. She is also as the WAKO World Championships participant in Dublin. Her resume includes the battles against Valentina Keri, Amra Babajic, among others. As well, she took on “Girl Power” competitor out of Serbia Marina Spasic, when the pair squared off at K-1 World Granx Prix in Belgrade.

The current Girl Power 4 Varna roster can be found below. The eighth participant, representing France, is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
