UFC Fight Night 177 was held on Friday September 22 (Sat., Sept 23 in Australia) in Saitama, Japan. The event produced a ten fight bill with the six-fight main card on FXX, following the four-fight preliminary program.

In the main event American Ovince Saint Preux faced off Japanese Yushin Okami. The bout ended in the first round with the guest out of the United States earning the victory via the first-round technical submission (Von Flue choke).

Arguably the highlight of the show featured kickboxing star Gokhan Saki in his highly anticipated UFC debut. “The Turkish Tyson” went up against Brazilian Henrique Da Silva in a scheduled for three rounds light heavyweight bout. It was all over in the first round with a debutant sending his opponent to the canvas with a devastating left.

Also on the main card strawweight Jessica Andrade took a unanimous decision against Claudia Gadelha. Lightweight Dong Hyun Kim took the first round TKO against Takanori Gomi. Expected on the card the featherweight bout between Charles Rosa and Mizuto Hirota was cancelled, when the latter was deemed unfit to compete and pulled from the card.
