Simply the Best 16 Kosice: Milan Pales vs Ruslan Kushnirenko

Simply the Best 16 Kosice is held on Saturday October 14 at Steel Arena. The event is the fourth series produced in Slovakia, following three previous episodes in Poprad. The program is a mixed-gala featuring kickboxing, MMA and boxing bouts. The roster includes the leading Slovakian fighters as well as the international competitors. Several WKN titles will be contested on the night.

To date the organization announced four match ups. The most recent addition is a three-round welterweight battle between Slovakian Milan Pales and Ruslan Kushnirenko of Ukraine.

Previously announced “Minci” Pales (30-3-1) makes his second appearance in the series after the 2015 STB 6 Poprad when he took the decision against Milos Keljanovic. His resume also includes the battles against Luka Fonda, William Diender, Vlad Tuinov, among others. In addition he scored the 2-0 record in W5 Kickboxing.

Ruslan Kushnirenko makes his Simply the Best debut. Over the course of his career he earned WKN European super lightweight title, scoring the decision against Oganes Sarafyan, as well as became the runner-up at Big-8 World Grand Prix 2011, going up against Andrei Kulebin in the finale. In addition he took the decision against Thai Samkor Kiatmontep, and the first-round stoppage against Australian Taylor Harvey.

“Slovakian Giant” Tomas Mozny headlines STB 16 Kosice facing off an opponent yet to be named. The fight card also includes the middleweight bout between Slovak Pavol Garaj and Czech Matous Kohout, challenging for WKN International title.
