UFC Sydney fight card update

UFC Fight Night 121 is held on November 19 at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. The event was previously expected to be headlined by the heavyweight clash between Kiwi-Australian Mark Hunt up against Poland’s Marcin Tybura. Earlier this week the organization announced that Brazilian Fabricio Werdum replaces “The Super Samoan” “due to medical concerns”.

Several bouts expected at the event have been revealed to date. On Friday the fight card was updated with four new fighters featured on the roster.

Featherweight Alex Volkanovski faces Humberto Bandenay (14-4) of Peru, who replaces Canadian Jeremy Kennedy. The latter was forced to withdraw from the contest due to back injury.

Welterweight Belal Muhammad has also a new opponent, Tim Means (27-8-1, 1NC). The latter is a replacement for his American-fellow Jesse Taylor, who was pulled from the event due to a possible USADA violation.

Moving to welterweight Australian Jake Matthews returns to action, battling out at the upcoming show. His opponent is American-Serb Bojan Velickovic.
