Girl Power Kickboxing made its return to Bulgaria this past Friday, producing Episode 4 in Varna. The event aired on SFR Sport 5 and was streamed on B1B Pay-Per-View.
The program featured eight international featherweight kickboxers, battling out in a single-elimination tournament, with WKN championship belt at stake. In addition, World Kickboxing Network European light heavyweight title was contested on the night.
Czech fighter Tereza Dvorakova earned three victories during one evening, consequently taking all tournament. In the opening round she scored the decision against the representative of France Andra Mihai. In the semi-final she similarly defeated Bosnian Merima Basic.
In the championship round Dvorakova faced Denmark’s Pernille Schjonning. On the way to the final the latter took the decision against Romanian Raluca Costache and Bulgarian Amalia Koleva. Dvorakova vs Schjonning also went the distance, with the Czech fighter proclaimed as the winner.
Also on the night Bulgarian Aleksandar Petrov stopped Serbian Bojan Gajic in the third round. As a result he was crowned as a new WKN European light heavyweight champion.
American Hall of Fame referee Steve Smoger officiated the bouts. WKN World President Stephane Cabrera attended the show. The complete results can be found below.
