Uppercut Fight Night Cyprus – lineup announced

International kickboxing returns to Cyprus on Saturday October 28. The leading promoter in the country Chris Christodoulou presents the following edition of Uppercut Fight Night, featuring local athletes, as well as the representatives of Russia, Georgia and Lebanon. The program includes a series of kickboxing, boxing and Muay Thai bouts.

On Sunday World Kickboxing Network announced a six-fight main card. Featherweight Yiannis Polydorou faces his Cyprus-fellow Kipros Kiprianou battling out in the main event.

Also on the card local super welterweight Chris Georgiout takes on Dima Apostolides of Georgia. Marios Charalambous goes up against Russian Anatoly Vasilev also at super welterweight. In addition super middleweight Akis Diakou squares off against Lebanese Hadji Hijazi.

Uppercut Fight Night tops up the list of kickboxing events promoted in Cyprus under umbrella of WKN. Over the years the organization has held over a hundred of shows in such cities as Nicosia, Paphos, Limassol and Larnaca. Moreover, three episodes of Bigger’s Better Boxing aired live on Eurosport from Cyprus in 2010-2013. The full fight card for the upcoming show can be found below.
