Simply the Best Kickboxing – Nuit des Titans

Simply the Best Kickboxing returns to Belgium on Sunday November 26 with Episode 17. The event held at Hall Omnisport de Farciennes is the fourth series produced in the country. The roster includes some of the most prominent fighters of today, with three WKN titles challenged on the night.

On Tuesday World Kickboxing Network announced the following bout featured on the card. Featherweight Ashley Gilson takes on Russian Valentina Simanikhina in a three-round non-title contest.

Ashley Gilson is a regular competitor at Girl Power Kickboxing. Over the course of her career she has also earned WKN international bantamweight title. Representing Osman Gym in Charleroi, Gilson faced the likes of Marianna Kalergi, Lehota Krisztina and Sandra Bengtsson. STB 17 Farciennes is her third appearance in the world-series, following STB 8 Borlange in Sweden, as well as STB 9 back in Farciennes.

Valentina Simanikhina makes her Simply the Best debut. Her resume includes the battles against Naoil Tita in France, Nora Cornolle in Luxembourg, among others.

STB 17 Farciennes is headlined by the reigning WKN lightweight champion Sardinia’s Lorenzo Piras (21-5-0, 10 KOs) who defends the belt against the representative of the country-host Allan Gozdzicki (45-20-3, 13 KOs). The bout is also a rematch, following their original encounter in April on Sardinia, where the local fighter took the decision.

Also on the card Belgian Tarik Mahillon takes on Slovakian Samuel Hadzima. The pair battles for WKN International lightweight belt.

The promoter of the event is Osman Yigin. WKN President Stephane Cabrera is expected to attend the show.
