UFC 217 pre-fight press conference
UFC 217 takes place at Madison Square Garden on Saturday November 4. The event marks the return of MMA great Georges St-Pierre when he challenges the reigning middleweight champion Michael Bisping. The fight card also includes the bantamweight championship defense with the current title holder Cody Garbrandt face off TJ Dillashow. In addition, women’s staweeight champion Joanna Jedrzjczyk aspires to break the record, making the seventh consecutive title defense against Rose Namajunas.
The UFC 217 pre-fight press conference was held on Thursday, featuring stars Michael Bisping, Georges St-Pierre, Cody Garbrandt, TJ DIllashaw, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, and Rose Namajunas.
“He’s trying to play mind games and in every interview he’s begging me not to wrestle him. But I don’t mind,” said St-Pierre. “I can’t wait [for the fight]. “There is no other place and moment I would rather be in than right now.”
Bisping declared that he has “beaten all the greats” and is “going to beat this guy [GSP]”. “Georges is one of the greats and I’m going to wipe him out. Saturday night, I’m going to destroy him.”
“You can do all the pushups, backflips and protein shakes you want,” said Bisping. “You will never beat me in a fight.”
