Andreas “The Spartan” Michailidis headlines the Battle 17

The Battle 17 takes place at Taekwondo Olympic Arena in Athens on Sunday December 10. The happening is the next edition of the world-class events presented by Stefanos Konstantinidis. The fight card features the leading Greek fighters up against international opponents.

Middleweight Mixed Martial Artist Andreas Michailidis (9-3) has been announced in the headliner of the show, facing off the opponent yet to be named. Representing the country-host, “The Spartan” will battle out for WKN International belt. His resume includes the victories against Evgeny Shalomaev, Borce Talevski, Ion Pascu, Arbi Madaev, among others.

The co-main event is a super welterweight clash between Greek Meletis Kakoumpavas and Slovakian Pavol Garaj. The bout is scheduled for three rounds in oriental kickboxing (K-1).

The roster also includes such kickboxers as Sofia Karga and Petros Vardakas. As well, middleweight boxer Dimitris Xerikos partakes in the event, and others.

The name of the second title challenger taking on Michailidis, as well as other match ups are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. The current line up can be found below.
