World Championship

International kickboxing returns to Spain on Saturday December 16 with the World Championship event held at Pabellon Municipal Universitario in the city Ponferrada. The happening is the third WKN championship in the country this year, following two Hombres de Honor MMA fight nights held in June and February.

The main event features the representative of the country-host Carlos Coello up against Portuguese Joao Goncalves. The pair battles out for a vacant WKN World bantamweight Muay Thai title. The championship bout is scheduled for five rounds.

The fight card also includes the local fighters up against the opponents representing Serbia, Italy and Portugal. In one of the bouts super middleweight Cristian Torres goes up against Serbian Aleksandar Menkovic. As well, super bantamweight Tito Macias battles out against Italian Luca Cecchetti.

Also on the card, Unai Caro and Portuguese Miguel Monteiro meet in a five-round lightweight bout, while featherweight Manu Garcie takes on Manu Miguez in all-Spanish featherweight battle. In addition, the program includes “3 vs. 3 – Squad 4 Battles”. The line up can be found below.
