Gaetano Pirrello ready for WKN title

Kickboxing series Simply the Best 17 Farciennes takes place at Hall Omnisport this coming Sunday November 26. The event subtitled as “Nuit des Titans XVI” is the fourth series produced in Belgium. The show features some of the notable representatives of the country-host up against international opponents, with three WKN titles challenged on the night.

Belgian Gaetano Pirrello highlights the event facing French Rehda Chtibi. The pair battles out for WKN European welterweight pro-amateur title in Muay Thai.

On Monday World Kickboxing Network shared the preview trailer featuring Gaetano Pirrello (30-4-1) on its page on Facebook. Fighting out of Charleroi, the representative of Osman Gym is the 2016 WKN World pro-amateur title challenger. He has been also known as an active Mixed Martial Artist out of Belgium, with the resume comprising 11 wins out of 15 bouts in total. “El Tigre” Pirrello is victorious in two of his most recent challenges, with the decision earned over Manolo Scianna and the first-round stoppage win against Alfonso Perez.

STB 17 Farciennes is headlined by the current WKN lightweight champion Sardinia’s Lorenzo Piras (21-5-0, 10 KOs) who defends the belt against Belgian Allan Gozdzicki (45-20-3, 13 KOs). The bout is also a rematch, following their original encounter in April on Sardinia, where the local fighter took the decision.

Also on the card Belgian Tarik Mahillon goes up against Slovakian Samuel Hadzima, challenging for WKN International lightweight belt. The full fight card can be found below.
