Simply the Best 17 Farciennes results

Simply the Best 17 Farciennes was held this past Sunday November 26 at Hall Omnisport. The event promoted by Osman Yigin in terms of “Nuit des Titans XVI”, marked the return of Kickboxing World Championship to Belgium, with three WKN titles challenged on the night.

In the main event the reigning World Kickboxing Network lightweight champion out of Italy Lorenzo Piras went up against the representative of the country-host Allan Gozdzicki. The bout was a also rematch following their initial encounter in April on Sardinia, where the local fighter won the belt by decision.

The second encounter between Piras and Gozdzicki also went the distance. Although this time fighting on the rival territory Piras made enough to convince the judges in his victory.

As a result, proclaimed as the winner by a unanimous decision, he made a successful title defense, as well as updated his record to 22-5-0, 10 KOs. Gozdzicki dropped to 45-21-3, 13 KOs.

Also on the main card Belgian lightweight Tarik Mahillon took WKN International belt, earning the victory via the first-round TKO over Samuel Hadzima of Slovakia. The doctor stopped the contest during the break due to injury (cut) received by Slovakian athlete.

In addition local Gaetano Pirello won WKN European welterweight pro-amateur title, when he defeated French Rehda Chtibi. Super lightweight Xavier Lejour scored a unanimous decision against French Aurelien Houdart. Russian Valentina Simanikhina similarly defeated Belgian Ashley Gilson.

Simply the Best 17 Farciennes was the four episode of kickboxing world series produced in Belgium. The country is expected to host the fifth chapter next year.
