The Battle 17 by WKN – results

The Battle 17 was held on Sunday December 10 at Taekwondo Olympic Arena in Athens. The event featured a mixed-fight bill with kickboxing, boxing and MMA bouts presented on the card. The roster included the leading representatives of the country-host up against international opponents, with two WKN titles contested on the night.

In the main event Greek Mixed Martial Artist Andreas Michailidis (10-3) faced Slovakian middleweight Tomas Bolo (4-6). The pair battled out for WKN International belt.

The scheduled for three rounds bout ended prior the final bell. The representatives of the country-host was proclaimed as the winner by TKO, following his devastating ground and pound performance in the first round.

Also on the main card Aris Antoni successfully defended his WKN Greek super welterweight title, taking a split decision against Sotiris Tzivelis. The bout was also a rematch, following their initial encounter last year, when the champion also came out victorious.

In addition, Greek super welterweight Meletis Kakoubavas defeated Slovakian Pavol Garaj. The international bout ended in the third round with Greek kickboxer pronounced as the winner by TKO.
