Riyadh Al-Azzawi is Baghdad-born residing in London Full Contact kickboxer. He is the reigning World Kickboxing Network super cruiserweight champion, as well as the first Arab fighter to win the title in the heavyweight class.

“Iraqi-English Riyadh Al-Azzawi is under final agreement to defend his WKN World super cruiserweight title next year,” the organization announced on Wednesday. “Famed Full Contact kickboxer (37-0) won the belt over Poland’s Tomasz Borowiec in 2008.”

“In his most recent title defense in March 2016 ‘The Golden Champion’ Al-Azzawi stopped Brian Connor in the first round. Earlier in his career he defended the belt against Yavor Marinchev and Slavi Stoilov.”

Late last month Riyadh Al-Azzawi competed in his country of birth. Performing in front of his home crowd for the first time in over a decade, he claimed the victory in the first round against Tanislav Tomashevskii.

The resume of Al-Azzawi also includes European and British belts. The name of his next opponent, the WKN world super cruiserweight title challenger, is expected to be announced in the near future. We will have more information as soon as it becomes available.
