Ultimate Fighting Championships makes its debut in Western Australia on Sunday February 11. Held at Perth Arena UFC 221 is the first Pay-Per-View event produced in WA, featuring the reigning middleweight champion Robbert Whittaker, who faces the former titleholder Luke Rockhold.

The fight card of the upcoming show has been becoming bigger and better. In addition to the recently announced heavyweight clash between Tai Tuivasa and Cyril Asker, the roster was topped up by the lightweight battle between Australian Damien Brown and Korean Dong Hyun Kim.

In two of his most recent bouts Damien Brown (17-11-0) faced the defeat against Frank Camacho and Vinc Pichel. Nevertheless, the man who has earned the “Fight of the Night” bonus in Sydney last month, recently told Daily Telegraph that “Still, if you’re looking for a reason to buy this Pay-Per-View… yeah, I reckon I’ll definitely give you value for money”.

Dong Hyun Kim (22-4-1) won two of his latest bouts. In September he stopped Takanori Gomi in the first round, and defeated Brendan O’Reilly by decision last December.

UFC 221 fight card also includes “The Super Samoan” Mark Hunt up against American Curtis Blaydes. Other bouts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
