Kickboxing made-in WKN

The world-class kickboxing returns to Marseille with Nuit Des Gladiateurs held on January 13. The event takes place at Salle Vallier, featuring the eight-fight bill with some of the notable French fighters, as well as the international competitors.

In the main event the representative of the country-host Eddy Nait Slimani takes on English super lightweight Charlie Peters (46-13-1, 27 KO). The bout is scheduled for three rounds in oriental kickboxing (K-1).

Nait Slimani is a reigning World Kickboxing Network super lightweight champion, winning the title via the first-round knockout against Korean Dong Su Kim this past October in Mazan. The resume of Peters includes World Muaythai Council (WMC) title, as well as the victory of Muay Thai Grand Prix. According to numerous sources the team of the guest out of England has inquired whether the bout could be for the Frenchman’s WKN belt.

Among other bouts presented on the card Famed Amel Dehby faces her bantamweight country-fellow Lizzie Larguiliere, which is her first outing out of theĀ three fight-deal WKN announced earlier this month. In addition, the newly crowned this September in Saint-Raphael WKN European champions Hakim Ketaieb and Jocelyn Branchu take on their respective opponents Philippe Salmon and Anthony Recio in the three-rounds non-title bouts.

The promoter of the event is Jean Armand Da Lomba. The full fight card can be found below.
