Domination Muay Thai 20: Smith vs. Gough – WKN World middleweight title

World Championship returns to Australia on Saturday June 2 with Domination 20 held at Serpentine Jarrahdale Recreation Centre in Byford (Perth), WA. The main event features Australian Toby Smith up against English Sam Gough. The pair battles out for WKN middleweight Muay Thai title (76.200 kg). FIGHTMAG was the first to make the announcement.

In his latest bout in October Toby Smith, 24, scored the decision against Charlie Bubb of New South Wales. Before that the representative of Synergy Martial Arts defeated French Johane Beausejour, and a number of Thai fighters including Superbon Banchamek, Dieselek TopKingBoxing, Eakchanachai Kaewsamrit, among others. His resume also features a notable victory against renowned John Wayne Parr in 2014.

Born in London, the 22-year-old Nak Muay Sam Gough (27-6-1, 8 KOs) has been residing in Bangkok for over a year. Representing Kiatphontip BKK he is coming off two victories taken by way of knockout, with the most recent bout held in November. Over the course of his career he went up against and defeated the likes of Ngoohaopetch Sor. Jor. Surapoj and Narak Aor. Sanitpan, among others.

FIGHTMAG understands that the matchmaking has been done by the promotion in agreement with WKN World Office.

In 2010 Domination Muay Thai went in history as the first promotion to accommodate WKN World Championships on the territory of Australia. The events featured such bouts as John Wayne Parr versus Dmitry Valent, and Nathan Corbett up against Pavel Zhuravlev.

The fight card for Domination 20 is in the making. The event is expected to feature the Western Australian championship, as well as a series of super fights. We will have more information as soon as it becomes available.
